Pedro and I finally back on track. We have visited our special place picnicking in our favourite spot, a kiss and a cuddle too. Going dancing this morning with other less able bodied friends, should be fun. Eunices has caught up in age with me, hope she had a good Birthday. Unable to make Christines do last night needed to be with Pedro, but salty seaside trip in view. Getting ready to have a great few days away with my beloved swifts, its our 18th year of going away together and every year better than the last. Despite our failing faculties we are more fun than ever together . All ready for fun and games.

Fully recovered from Sadie and Peters wonderful wedding in Sligo drove hundreds of miles sailed the Irish sea lived out of 3 suitcases stayed in 3 different hotels all very luxurious, the Irish have got it right when it comes to service. Oh and drank buckets of wine too. Pedro enjoyed meeting his cousins and his brother Teddy. ONE STRESSFUL moment when the bride was 1hr late the priest was mot amused. Pedro did so well but now not well, scared me a bit but appears ok now. Gone off cooking after being served on such delicious food and the washing and ironing still on the go. Met our friends the swifts in pub so back to normal now planning our anual trip ti our favourite place with swifts next month so something to look forward to thank God xx

wedding preparations
Busy week, did well collecting and had a nice meal in Mediterranean restaurant to celebrate the weeks awareness week for PD. Bought a beatiful candle holder made of glass from my clever friend Carmel..
Been shopping with Pedro to get kitted out for the forthcoming wedding in Eire, lots of cousins coming from Mrs Browns city to party after wedding, should be good if we can stand the pace. Will spend the rest of week in spa to recover.

Busy day might continue to make me dizzy. Another lunch out in order I believe will cure my ills

Pedro and I have had a fab weekend. Visited our favourite spots along the east coast. Picnicking walking, appreciating our favourite views whilst listening to our classical music, sounds cultured and romantic and yes it was. Escorted my neighbour to matins and we sang well again. Met up with swifts for drinks at our watering hole always a pleasant couple of hours. The lanflord introduced me to a yellow poinsettia. Weird looking like a daffodil. Arranged a destination with wine tulips, markets and of course charity shops with my friend eunice, should
be good. She will be gone again at the end of the year . Hope she comes back. Off to pick up my red sports car today should I wear someting appropriate?

Had a very Holy Week, think Mabel , Robina and I will enroll for Latin night classes, hope its done me some good and that I am better than I was. Tried to go to confession but as I went in one side the priest came out the opposite side, nearly locked me in for the Easter holiday.
Eunice I believe is back from her travels sure she will tell me all about it soon. Simmel cake and wine with swifts tomorrow and going on a train with family, Pedro booked us afternoon tea in the dining car plus champers on Easter Monday.

Mabel, Robina and I were nearly late for choir practice at the Middlemarch Cathedral yesterday. Road works, over turned lorries and a sat nav that repeats itself. However we did eventually arrive, so after a visit to the charity shop, a cappuccino and scone we were fit and ready. Met lots of familiar friends, some in hats and frocks of a religious persuasion. We rehearsed and sang beautifully the choir master in particular pleased with us . We met our favourite man in a frock and had a lovely lunch, before going home with no road blocks or argument's with our sat nav, not sure if we may have returned a different route our sat nav we have decided we to now name Iris. A lovely day and have been invited to return. Pedro and Mick pleased to see us so all very cosy and nice start to Holy Week

A strange but nice day yesterday, as normal on a Sunday attended our local church accompanied by my neighbour Mabel and Pedro. After a 2hr service I jest not, in Latin, you will understand we were too holy by far. Thinking of changing my religion and joining the happy clappy gang. Pedro went walk about and we lost him temporarily, but did eventually find him after he had partaken in a frothy coffee and a bun a sensible alternative me thinks.
So Home for lunch or was it afternoon tea by this time then met up with our special friends at our usual watering hole. Only two swifts Derek and Janice today as Anita and Ben enjoying the delights of Rook Hall and Pauline and Seth attending a wedding down south. We were joined by Veronica (not the one Eunice knows) and Ted who are not as yet fully paid up members of the swifts but nearly. So we spent a very pleasant afternoon as usual. Taxis home as I decided to have an extra glass or two and hang up the driving gloves for the day so you will understand, what a jolly time we had. We knew it was time to head home when Janice developed the hiccups and blamed me for her drinking too much , this happens frequently when I am out with my friend Eunice who also blames me for similar activities, Pedro says I do this this without putting their hands behind their backs and they should learn to say no like he does. He is a lovely man.

I put on my sixties gear, Pedro made me fantastic banner to save our health service and off I set to change the world, I felt young again but wished Pedro could come with me.. Met some very nice and interesting people some I am sure will become friends. When we arrived in Leith the bands were playing, over a thousand of us now the atmosphere electric and friendly the police were lovely and an bonus for me my youngest son and Amos were there to greet me with his banner. So off we set chanting , dancing and singing a great day ending with refreshments in an Irish bar what could be better. Said goodbye to my baby then homeward bound on coach,a treat in store the scenic route was taken and the sun shone. Perfect day felt good better than moaning

I spent the night in the garden where JC suffered a let down by his friends or so it felt, but once again Pedro in all his frailty reminded me what its all about. Ended up a great day, met some interesting people all of whom I made eye contact with and no problem. Fish, chips mushy peas bread and butter a large pot of tea, what bliss. Then to our new found Irish come Yorkshire watering hole a glass or 2 of their finest wine, and homeward bound, via coach and horses, wonderful.

Pedro and I spent an interesting day out yesterday. In miles we travelled 70+, searching for a convent that did confessions of an amusing ingenious type. We were unable to find that said convent but met some interesting people whilst doing so who live in our home town but originally from Lancashire. Didn't find Tattley not a particularly pleasing place so travelled further to Shipley by Tat, a nicer place, memories of Chinese meals whilst crossing the borders came to mind. A lovely day out ending with going back to school for tea and meeting up with old friends.

Second time around with the swift team ladies, bolly dancing was just as good. Janice and Andea were laughing and belly dancing in the aisle. I looked on as Janice had told the attendent I was their guardians and had to take them by by five. I did feel a little responsible so sipped my red wine (being lent)and observed.

Pedro and I have had a wonderful few days away in costa del foss. Despite the snow which was so pretty it was oh so sunny. Managed walks, saunas, swimming, gambling and drinking. Met some interesting people. Eunice would have had to look the other way on occassions.
We finished off the short break in the market town of Tickering calling at Daises for lunch, a favourite of Pedros, perfect. Looking forward to our next trip now across the sea.

Happy Anniversary Pedro, its raining.
It was brilliant sunshine 43yrs ago but frosty.
The miners were on strike so I couldn't have my hair done , had it done the night before and had it touched up on the day.
We had to get married (no not in the family way sense) in February to avoid the tax man.
Anyway off we go to the Falcon Hotel in Melton for afternoon tea and champagne, Melton a pleasant market town Pedro and I have fond memories of.

First Blogg
I am excited, I am now an official blogger, influenced solely by my friend Eunice who I have to say I have always been influenced by since we were at college together. Yesterday she encouraged me to buy a bean sprouter, today I discover there is a danger of getting salmonella from growing your own.
